7月30日 Cosmic Collisions完全没有期待及预料到，躺在纽约城American Museum of Natural History的天文球里看完巨幕太空电影Cosmic Collisions时已泪流满面。这成为本次美国之行中最难忘的一件事。
这部美日合作的太空短片在AMNH整天滚动播放着。半趟在靠椅上双眼所见就是整个圆弧状的屋顶，而这个球顶正是巨幕电影的屏幕。我曾乱想序幕拉开会是一部剪辑真实星空影像的记录片，直待几百名观众屏住呼吸后，黑暗寂静中闪现科幻电影般的特技制作再加Robert Redford冷静解说，才明白又是部视觉大片。我是看《赤壁》这样的大片都会睡着的人，而看Cosmic Collisions绝对不会。星球相撞的瞬间，我能感到地动山移，那些星尘爆发、陨石飞天、太阳奔腾的景象，也无不震撼。对曾经陨石撞击地球导致全球高温直至生命毁灭的景象，作者没有直面生命消失的哀嚎，而是几幅动画将热度迅速扩散至全球发烧最终至融化，更显世事无常。最后两分钟梦幻般的星空景象更加让人感慨不已，斗转星移，所有我们叫得出名字的庞大的要命的星系在飞速运行中汇入银河星系，最终和无数个更大的星系旋转在无穷的宇宙中。Robert说，我们确信会有别的如同曾经毁灭过地球生命的陨石正向我们飞来，但这是如此久远的未来；我们相信在它来临之前，我们有能力阻止这毁灭性的碰撞。我会想，我们对现世的足够安全感，就建立在这些我们对科学的信心上吧，可是如此渺小的人类，又怎么能预测准无穷的外太空。在表面平静的天空下，太多人每日辛苦做工、辛苦消费再苦等颐养天年，而无数的外太空生命，在遥远的某处大碰撞中，或许刚刚被毁灭，或许刚刚诞生，也或许它们此刻正在这样想象着我们。
今晚上AMNH网站上查了一下，这个电影居然有上海科技馆的投资，因此上海科技馆从去年起就有滚动播放了!!!我一定去买科技馆的年票，把它所有的科技片全部看完，可是大概没有Robert的原版解说了。
Looking for a cooler summer意大利总理贝卢斯科尼为不出席北京奥运找的借口是"有人告诉我,中国现在非常热,气温高达50多度，且空气湿度非常高"。听起来夸张，可是纵使我一日23小时浸没在冷气房中，上海地区在凤凰亲临前的桑拿热，还是让人一年又一年地吃不消; 而一千公里外的北京，炎热程度也绝不相让啊。
7月19日 Last night in NYCMy schedule in NYC turned out to be so tight that i am exhausted now, and was exhasted the last two days, too. So surprised to bump into Li Chen and Legia when i was trying to find the WTC site around Broadway and Wall Street. not seen each other after the graduation but met in NYC! really the old saying that it is a small world, after all.
got a nice gathering with Zhao Shen, Wang Ping and Kappa in an Indian restaurant near the Grand Central Terminal. After i said bye to Zhao Shen in times square subway, guess what i did then. it suddenly came to me before i went to my platform that "why not go and see the hit movie Sex and The City in New York City in Times Square where cinemas abound?" so i went to Regal Cinema and caught the last round of SATC tonight at 10:45pm. I am not really into the TVs SATC but really found the movie a good pastime for my last night in NYC, hahaha.
and for certain emails i must send tonight, i'm paying for the internet again now.

7月17日 late night at NYCwhen I check my Yahoo email box, i realized that i have not paid for certain deal via TaoBao.
it also came to me that i have not picked up the suits from the laundry's in Shanghai.
wahaha
but still exited in the city that does not sleep, at about 2:am in the late night paying US$2 for a 20-minute internet surfing.
really difficult to pick up limited palces to go for the next two and a half days.
7月15日 A restaurant in Boston was named Legal Sea Foodin Boston now! an awesome place like a European city,
from Back bay, Beacon Hill, Midtown to Southend, and Charles River and Boston Harbour and so on,
totally different from SF, CHI and D.C., I love it so much.
really an accident in the last minute to leave my cell phone at home in Shanghai, don't know how many missed but really out-of-reach calls,msgs
i got a 40US$ Virgin phone in San Francisco instead,haha
9:20 am now, still lots of points of interest to go
I am heading to NYC tomorrow morning.
